On this, I hoped to repeat my August observation of Bailly but apparently I was too early in the evening. All that was available was the East (or Northeast) wall of Bailly just beginning to get some sunlight. Instead, I moved up the Terminator a bit and sketched the group of Grimaldi, Hevelius and Cavelerius. This is a scan of the quickie drawing I made at the eyepiece around 8:40PM EDT on the evening of October 3, 1998.
